In the world of seasons, you will find products sorted by what is timely – four seasons and six festivities, from the first greeting of spring to New Year's Eve. Not an all-encompassing range, but a handy selection for the exact moment that lies ahead.
Seasons are our way of showing you the right product at the right time. Instead of clicking through over 7,000 items, you get ten curated collections that move along with the calendar: spring, summer, autumn, winter – plus Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Christmas, and New Year's Eve. Food, drink, cooking, home, and gifts come together and set the mood for the occasion.
Those thinking of asparagus in March find different shelves than those looking for a pot of mulled wine in November – and that is exactly the point. This turns browsing into a guided walk through the year.
Each season has its own favorites. Spring brings light wines, herb salts, and the first fresh greens to the table – an Albariño with asparagus, Ingo Holland's wild herb salt from the spice merchant, a mountain apple juice from Thomas Kohl in South Tyrol for a picnic. Summer opens the terrace door: aperitifs, barbecue items, tinned sardines, plus white wines in the cooler.
In autumn, dishes become warmer, wines fuller, chocolate darker – time for dark Bonnat bars, robust red wines, and the first warm tea from Christianshavn. And winter belongs to the long evening: broth, braised dishes, a good hot chocolate. Three months in which the kitchen once again becomes the warmest room in the house.
Between the seasons lie the occasions – small waypoints for which you are often looking for just the right gift. For Valentine's Day, a fine chocolate or a sparkling cuvée. For Easter, a nest of artisanal Easter treats. For Mother's Day, a selection that flatters Mom; for Father's Day, one that surprises Dad. For Christmas, the menu from Italy, France, and South Tyrol. And for New Year's Eve, the sparkling wine that keeps the promise of the evening.
Our tip – check back two weeks before the occasion; that’s when the collection is freshly stocked and shipping times are short. We sort by ripeness, harvest time, and suitability as a gift; you take what suits you. Many of our producers work in the rhythm of the seasons: Thomas Kohl presses the first mountain apples in late summer, Jean-Yves Bordier churns the festive butter in November, and the manufacturers in South Tyrol lay out their Christmas packaging in early autumn. You can feel that in our range. Give it a try, season by season!
