Greenomic Delicacies

Greenomic Delikatessen brings the flavors of Southern Europe to your table

What is Greenomic Delikatessen? A delicatessen brand based in Luxembourg that sources pasta, pesto, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, and sweets from small family businesses in Southern and Mediterranean Europe. Founder Themistoklis Vlachos focuses on artisanal production and traceable origins, with every item packaged in colorful, recognizable designs.

Greenomic Delikatessen stands for exquisite gourmet products from Southern Europe, hand-selected by founder Themistoklis Vlachos. His top priority is exceptional quality and origins that can be traced back to small, family-run businesses. Everything he discovers in Italy, Sicily, or Greece is given a pretty, colorful outfit, making every jar and bottle an eye-catcher on the shelf.

Green for quality, nomic for enjoyment

The name reveals the entire philosophy—half promise, half wink—and at Greenomic, it is more of a manifesto than just a brand. When you say it aloud, you hear both: the green care for ingredients and the joy of dining.

“Green” stands for the pure quality of the products and the traceability of their origins; “nomic” for the gastronomic, for the art and joy of good food. Together they form Greenomic, and “Choose the Good Life” is the motto that carries the brand from its headquarters on Rue Adolphe Fischer in Luxembourg straight to your dining table.

Behind it all is Themistoklis Vlachos. He travels through Italy, Sicily, and Greece, seeking out products in small family workshops that reveal their origin in the very first bite. He visits the manufacturers regularly on-site, looks over the shoulders of the families, and only selects what truly convinces him.

Over the years, this has built a small delicatessen house that brings the entire South together on one table. What ends up in your basket here is personally selected rather than ordered from a catalog, and that is exactly what you taste on your plate. The map stretches from Sicily to Tuscany, and everywhere, there is a person with a name behind the jar.

Pasta, pesto, balsamic, and sweet temptations

The Greenomic Delikatessen range reads like a journey through the Italian pantry, from appetizers to dolce. You can see what is currently in stock in the grid below.

Starting things off is the Good Hair Day Pasta from Italy, featuring the 500g bag of Spaghetti Classic as well as the fine 250g pack of Fettuccine, some flavored with basil, sepia, or Sicilian pistachio. The pestos and bruschetta creams in 135g jars are a perfect match, ranging from Genovese and Calabrese to summery Limone.

Between spaghetti and fettuccine there is much more, such as short cavatappi, festive tagliatelle al tartufo, or pitch-black spaghetti al seppia—each shape is crafted for its own sauce and deserves a try.

If you prefer something hearty, reach for Chef Francesco's sugos in 500g jars, from Arrabbiata to Sugo da Mamma, which make every pot smell like the South. For quick seasoning, pasta spices in 70g sachets with a wooden spatula, such as La Puttanesca and La Spaghettata, are ready-composed for a flavor-packed plate.

Liquid gold comes in the form of Aceto Balsamico—from fig to raspberry to pomegranate, each in a 250ml bottle—and fruit-refined extra virgin olive oil in 250ml bottles, infused with Tuscan herbs, garlic, or lime. A splash of fig balsamic over pecorino, a drizzle of olive oil over warm tomatoes—that is almost all a good evening needs.

The house offers more than just savory goods. Under "Sweets" you will find Cannoli di Sicilia, Cantuccini, Tartufo, and Italian preserves, along with chocolates from MIO. Koala Bean provides barista-grade coffee, and with No Story Gin and the Maygreen care line, the assortment even extends beyond the pantry.

Handmade from small family businesses

Behind every Greenomic product is an artisanal business that often has maintained its methods for generations and produces exclusively for Greenomic. Production happens in manageable quantities, by hand rather than in a large factory, and you can tell in every bite. Themistoklis has known many of these families for years; they are on a first-name basis and share a bond of trust.

The Good Hair Day Pasta is pressed through bronze dies in Italy, “al bronzo.” This gives it a rough, almost matte surface; and the rougher the noodle, the better it holds sugo and pesto later on. This ensures everything that belongs in the sauce ends up on your plate, with not a drop lost.

The Balsamico Classic matures for a year in oak barrels, alongside fruity varieties like fig, date, and peach. The extra virgin olive oil is gently cold-pressed to ensure the fruitiness and spice remain in the jar, and the herbs are dried and hand-mixed into the sachets.

Tradition and a sharp, modern mind are inseparable at Greenomic. The old craftsmanship remains, but the design is conceived with a youthful spirit, ensuring the brand never feels dated but instead brings the South to you, fresh and vibrant.

A colorful outfit for every package

You can spot Greenomic Delikatessen on the shelf from a distance, and that is anything but a coincidence; it is deeply embedded in the brand's identity.

The labels are playful, colorful, and witty; every jar and box has its own personality. Even the name "Good Hair Day" plays on "bad hair day," as the noodles look as though they’ve just come from the hairdresser, with curls, waves, and braids. Pasta with a hairstyle—it’s impossible not to smile.

It is precisely this colorful appearance that makes the products perfect little gifts that look festive even without a ribbon. A jar of pesto, a bottle of balsamic, or a tin of cannoli: they are beautiful to look at and ready to be gifted. The Good Hair Day boxes, with their colorful patterns, are often bought as small presents in our shop.

This turns a purchase into a gift for yourself, and a small token into a joy that continues to shine on the recipient's shelf long after the last bite. Being colorful is always a good idea.

How to get started easily

If you don't know where to begin: these simple starting points are quick to cook and require nothing more than a pan and a little time.

The pistachio pasta only needs a bit of olive oil and freshly grated Parmesan—simple yet festive—perhaps with a spoonful of Sugo da Mamma made from sun-ripened tomatoes. Aged cheese pairs perfectly with a few drops of pomegranate balsamic, which balances spicy and sweet notes alike and adds zest to the plate. On hot days, try stirring the Pesto Limone into cool, fresh ribbon pasta.

As a gift, a 200g tin of Cannoli from Sicily is always a delight, especially paired with an espresso for a touch of dolce vita in the afternoon. And for those who want to dive even deeper into the Italian boot, browse our selection from Italy, from the first appetizer to the final digestif.

Prepare to be surprised by how much of the South fits into a single colorful package—something confirmed by every first bite. Shelf by shelf, the South moves a little bit closer.
