The magnificent design depicts splendid scenes along the Nile, as if one were sitting on the deck of a river cruise ship, like the travelers in Agatha Christie's crime novels. A wonderful landscape with pyramids and palm trees, exotic plants and animals is visible on the tablecloth, enveloping your table with an oriental flair. The central part of the Croisiere sur le Nil table runner is adorned with an oriental pattern in orange tones.

The history of the Le Jacquard Francais company dates back to 1861, when Benjamin Baer opened a fabric trade in Gérardmer in the French Vosges. In 1928, his successors, the Nathan Lévy weaving mill, expanded the business to include a bleaching plant, as white linen was in high demand at the time. In 1968, the company was taken over by the ELIS Group, which acquired more than 50 looms for weaving Jacquard fabrics and created the Le Jacquard Francais brand. As the quintessence of creative and technical expertise, the dishcloths are woven with the greatest care in the textile factory in the Vosges and then sewn there.

The linen tablecloths from Le Jacquard Francais are awarded the Masters of Linen label. This label recognizes products that are 100% produced in Europe, from harvest to fiber to the finished fabric. Therefore, they collaborate with Terre de Lin, a cooperative of flax growers who together preserve their expertise and share and develop skills in production, environmental protection, and social commitment.
