Eco Wool – Naturally!

Klippan is now proudly producing wool blankets made from organically sourced wool. The ecological lambswool is completely free of pesticides, and no chemicals or antibiotics were used in the breeding and ethical keeping of the sheep.

Eco wool is a natural and renewable raw material. The ecological lambswool comes from lambs no older than six months. It is particularly soft because the fibers are still very fine. After shearing, the eco wool is combed and fluffed before being beautifully dyed navy blue, spun into yarn, and then woven into this wonderful blanket. It is barely scratchy, breathable, and has excellent insulating properties. It warms in winter and cools in summer. Klippan does everything to ensure the blanket feels soft; for this, the Oekotex certified lambswool is pre-combed, but this quality is naturally scratchier than a cotton blanket would be, and the blanket will shed a bit at the beginning.

The navy blue throw Ralph can be washed at 30 degrees, either by hand in the bathtub or on your washing machine's wool program. Reduce the spin speed as much as possible so that the blanket does not felt. To ensure your wool blanket lasts a long time, it is best to use a mild wool detergent and avoid fabric softener. Remember that the natural wool fat has a self-cleaning effect, and you will wash it out gradually with each wash. It is best to hang the lambswool blanket outside to air out. Airing also helps wonderfully against any initial sheep smell.
