Experience aromatic cherry compote from Finks Delikatessen

The Finks Cherry Compote with fruit pieces is a special delicacy that showcases the regional connection of Bettina and Hans Peter Fink, who produce this great product in their Finks Delicatessen manufactory in Walkersdorf. The Styrian heart cherries come from regional farmers, are hand-pitted, and carefully cooked with sugar and lemon juice to create a delicious cherry compote (which Austrians call "Röster"). The cherry compote tastes wonderful with quark dumplings, Kaiserschmarrn (shredded pancake), or poppy seed noodles, but also with vanilla ice cream or pudding, waffles, or chocolate mousse.

Finks Cherry Compote – delicious taste

Finks Cherry Compote comes from the kitchen of Bettina Fink-Haberl. Born in 1978, she completed an apprenticeship as a chef at the Hofkeller in Fürstenfeld. Afterwards, Bettina worked in her parents' business (Gasthaus Haberl) and with star chef Johanna Maier in Filzmoos. After the birth of her son Hans-Peter Jr., she worked together with her husband Hans Peter Fink in his parents' guesthouse in Riegersburg. In 2002, the young entrepreneur, with the help of Alois Gölles (Gölles Distillery & Vinegar Manufactory), started the "Fink's Delikatessen" project and finally made it an independent business in 2008. Since then, she has been very successfully managing the Gasthaus Haberl & Fink's Delikatessen in Walkersdorf together with her husband Hans Peter and her brother Mario. Her tip: the cherry compote also refines savory sauces for game.
