San Marzano Tomatoes – Napoleta' by Italianavera

The San Marzano tomatoes in their own juice in the pretty Napoleta' can by Italianavera come from the hills of the Monti Lattari in the province of Salerno. First peeled by hand and then preserved in their own juice, the fruity aromas of ripe tomatoes are perfectly preserved, giving your dishes expression and character and true tomato flavor.

The peeled San Marzano tomatoes in their own juice are not only suitable as a pasta sauce on pizza or as a base for a tomato soup, you can also use them to cook a tomato risotto, prepare shakshuka, braise caponata or Provençal vegetables, add them to goulash or pork roast sauce, cook frutti di mare or vongole in them, or use them to fill cannelloni or lasagna.

Napoleta' is Italianavera's newest packaging and a nostalgic homage to the city of Naples, its beauty, Mount Vesuvius, tradition, and folklore. So beautifully packaged, San Marzano tomatoes tell a story of pasta and pizza, of love and goodness, of the Dolce Vita.

Napoleta' – San Marzano Canned Tomatoes DOP

Diana calls Italianavera's canned tomatoes Napoleta'. Because why shouldn't tomato cans look good too? Thus, Italianavera's distinctive, colorful cans are a tribute to Campania's best tomato specialties and have become a hallmark of a young company that makes quality and design its strengths. The selection of the tomato before harvesting, the care of the production process, and the respect for the raw material at every stage of the supply chain are the key points of this production, which is the result of knowledge and passion that founder Diana inherited from her grandfather and father. Pomodoro vera!

In San Marzano Sul Sarno, not far from Naples, between the lightness of the Amalfi Coast in the west and the energetic volcano Vesuvius, is not only the home of the best tomatoes but also that of Italy's most attractive sauce maker: Diana Attianese. Even as a child, she learned everything there is to know about tomatoes from her mother and aunt, who in the summer in the early, cooler morning hours cooked down the freshly picked, ripe tomatoes into sugo: how the different varieties taste, how they smell when they are ripe, which tomatoes are best suited for sauces, which are preserved whole when peeled. Because even if the old varieties are not suitable for transport due to their sensitivity, they can be wonderfully preserved in glass and cans without losing their fresh taste and intense aroma.

Italianavera – From a Love of Tomatoes

Diana knew the canning business well because her father worked in this industry, but as is often the case with daughters, they want to do things differently, better than their fathers. Only the best tomatoes are cooked down into sugo or put into the pop-art designed cans of the business graduate. And because the art of preserving is traditionally a women's craft, the name Italianavera suits the lively Italian woman and her ten female employees particularly well. Italianavera San Marzano tells of the Italians' love for this special tomato.
