Linen Napkins Forest Green – Forest Green by Linen Tales

The Linen Napkins Forest Green by Linen Tales are two fabric napkins in a rich forest green, woven in Lithuania and stone-washed for softness. The flax used is sourced from Western European farms, verified by the EUROPEAN FLAX label from the field to the loom.

Linen Napkins are fabric napkins from Linen Tales in Vilnius, delivered tied together in a set of 2, measuring 40 by 40 centimeters—the size expected at a restaurant table. A simple piece of kitchen twine holds the pair together until the first guest takes their seat.

Deep forest green for a tranquil table

Forest Green is a deep, dark green, reminiscent of pine needles in the shade, and it remains earthier than any bottle green. This tone exudes calm alongside brass, oak, and cream-colored stoneware, while becoming a bold counterpart to white porcelain. In summer, it picks up the greenery from the garden; in December, it sits alongside pine branches without appearing overly decorative. If you want to set the same tone in both winter and June, this is the right choice.

An Advent table deserves a green that doesn't glitter

When candles, branches, and cinnamon stars appear on the table in December, the setting needs a color that ties it all together. A rich forest green achieves this without any sheen or tinsel, and by candlelight, it appears darker and softer than it does during the day. Because the fabric has a substantial drape, it stays in place even when ten people reach for the serving bowl at once. After the celebration, the pair can go straight into the washing machine while the wreath is still on the table.

Linen on the lips, no lint on the glass

Linen fiber grows long and smooth, which is why it leaves nothing behind on the lip or the rim of a glass when dabbed. Cotton, by contrast, sheds short fibers that are immediately visible on polished crystal. Furthermore, linen absorbs moisture and wicks it away rather than trapping it, meaning a used napkin is dry again in no time. As the strongest natural fiber, it maintains this service at Linen Tales for many years, with the surface remaining smooth.

Slip the napkin through the ring, the rest takes care of itself

Linen of this weight holds its shape, so a loose fold is all that is needed; there is no need to fold fancy fans. For the ring, fold the square twice lengthwise, pull it through, and fluff the upper end, which then stands on its own. If you are setting the table without a ring, lay the napkin across the plate and let the corners hang. Ultimately, what matters is that every piece stays exactly where you placed it.

Green stays green when the bleach stays in the cupboard

A detergent without bleach preserves the depth of the green, as bleach is meant exclusively for white laundry. Forty degrees on the gentle cycle is sufficient, and a spin cycle at 600 rpm keeps the fibers straight. Afterward, hang the pair on the line, where they will dry faster in the breeze than in any tumble dryer. Skip the fabric softener, as it leaves a film over the fibers. You only need to reach for the iron if you want the edges to be perfectly smooth.

Linen Napkins Forest Green – Material and Dimensions

  • Origin – Woven and sewn in Lithuania
  • Material – 100% linen, EUROPEAN FLAX certified
  • Testing – Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX

Plant fibers and dye baths never produce the exact same shade twice, which is why a second pair may differ slightly from the first without any change in the fabric itself. Linen Tales duvet covers are made in the same production facility, allowing you to carry the color into the bedroom.
