Green Jasmint – Jasmine Tea with Mint from A.C. Perchs Thehandel

Green Jasmint is a green jasmine tea from China, refined with fresh mint, a high-quality organic tea in bags from A.C. Perch's Thehandel in Copenhagen.

Jasmine tea has a centuries-old tradition in China. The ritual where fresh jasmine blossoms are first mixed with green tea and then gently steamed is called "the wedding or marriage" in China. The tea thus flavored has a sweet, floral character. At A.C. Perch's teahouse, this specialty was refined with finely cut peppermint leaves. Here in pyramid bags.

Perchs Tea Green Jasmint is packed in 25 free-flow pyramid bags, which offer sufficient space for the tea leaf to fully unfold and thus develop its full bouquet. The pyramid bags are made from corn starch, which does not impart any flavor to the tea but is 100 percent biodegradable. To protect the tea, each tea bag is individually aroma-protected. Both the tea bag and the small foil bag in which the bag is located are PLASTIC-FREE. This high-quality bagged tea is a good and practical alternative to loose tea on a busy day.

In the 18th century, also known as the Florissante, or "flourishing period," tea from the East was an important commodity in Denmark. It was not uncommon for a ship's cargo from the Asiatic Company, based in Christianshavn, to consist of 85-90% tea. The flourishing trade in tea and other goods such as porcelain from the Far East brought prosperity to the Danish capital.

To participate in this, Niels Brock Perchs opened a small tea shop in Kronprinsensgade 5 in April 1835, which he named after his third eldest son Axel Christian Perch. His goal was to import the best teas from all over the world and offer them to his customers. The small shop and its high-quality teas quickly became a great success, and so for almost 200 years, three generations have stood behind the counter in the family business, enthusiastically selling the best tea from all over the world.

Thanks to the high quality of the exclusive teas and the serious, professional service of the teahouse, Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II appointed A.C. Perch's Thehandel as a Royal Purveyor in 2002. What an honor.
