Sal de Ibiza MOLINO 500g – Sea Salt for the Mill

As the name suggests, Sal de Ibiza Molino is THE salt for your grinder. This natural sea salt, sourced from the salt flats of the Balearic island, contains no bleaching agents or anti-caking additives and has been milled only in an old stone mill. Sal de Ibiza Molino is harvested in the salt flats of Ibiza, in the Ses Salines d'Eivissa Natural Park, where the seawater is of exceptional quality. Since Molino has a certain residual moisture content, it should only be used in a grinder with a ceramic grinding mechanism, as it would corrode the stainless steel of a conventional mill.

Sal de Ibiza – White Gold

For more than 2,700 years, the finest sea salt has been harvested in the salt flats of Ibiza. Even then, salt was highly sought after, as it was needed to preserve food. The Balearic island of Ibiza even exported salt to Greece and Italy. In 1235 AD, around 25,000 tons of salt were sold annually, making salt a vital economic sector for the island. In 1871, two Majorcan merchants bought the salt flats for the unimaginably high price of 9.15 million euros (converted). This shows that salt has always been an ambassador for the island of Ibiza.
