Santa Speculoos is a round speculoos with chocolate from Generous, baked gluten-free using buckwheat and covered in 30% dark chocolate. Unlike the seasonal Saint Nicholas figures, this round version is available throughout the year. The spicy speculoos dough with cinnamon and nutmeg meets bittersweet chocolate, a small treat for every coffee break and every season.

Cinnamon, chocolate, and a fine crunch

First the dark chocolate, then the spicy cookie: cinnamon, nutmeg, and the caramel sweetness of cane sugar and butter come through one after another. The buckwheat provides a fine, slightly nutty base note underneath.

The 30% dark chocolate adds a bitter note to the round biscuit, turning the speculoos into a bittersweet delight. Crunchy, chocolatey, spicy – that is what a well-made speculoos with chocolate tastes like. Two layers, one bite, and the round is open. Belgian baking craft without wheat

Christophe Harou founded Generous in 2013 after discovering he had a gluten intolerance but still wanting to enjoy high-quality pastries.

In the bakery in Tubize, the dough is crafted from buckwheat flour, potato starch, cane sugar, butter, and egg, seasoned according to old speculoos traditions. Each round biscuit is baked and coated with 30% dark chocolate made from cocoa mass, cocoa butter, and a hint of vanilla. It is real chocolate, not a compound coating, and you can taste it with the first snap.

According to Christophe, good taste does not need wheat. Together with his wife Théodora and the Brussels bakers Jean-Benoît and Aurélie Ghenne, he turned this conviction into an entire bakery. What began as a small venture in 2013 is today a family of gluten-free varieties with their own names and shapes.

For coffee breaks and over vanilla ice cream
