Ultner – authentic enjoyment from a traditional bakery
The Ultner Brot organic bakery in St. Walburg in the Ulten Valley combines traditional craftsmanship with a love for nature. For over a century, bread of the highest quality has been baked here, distinguished by its authentic taste and natural ingredients. The Ultner Vinschger Paarl is made exclusively from controlled organic cultivation, with wholemeal rye flour from the in-house mill and natural sourdough, seasoned with caraway, fennel, and blue fenugreek. It is vegan and free of artificial additives.
The Ultner Vinschger Paarl is an expression of South Tyrol's rich culinary and cultural tradition, shaped by the passion and craftsmanship of its bakers. Originally baked in the Benedictine Abbey of Marienberg in the 13th century, it still represents the taste of an entire valley today.
Traditional craftsmanship – 100% organic rye bread
The Ultner Vinschger Paarl represents an outstanding example of traditional bread-making art from South Tyrol. The organic wholemeal variant of this bread is made with a high standard of quality and tradition. Farmers in the Ulten Valley primarily grow rye, which is then used by the traditional and organic bakery Ultner Brot to cultivate their own sourdough starter cultures. This bread is baked in a stone oven and is characterized by its traditional seasoning with blue fenugreek, fennel, and caraway.
The Vinschger Paarl from Ultner Brot is a 300g organic bread made from 100% rye and natural sourdough, seasoned with classic South Tyrolean bread spice (blue fenugreek), as well as caraway and fennel, and baked in a stone oven.
